Laguna Niguel Military Support efforts are divided into two distinct and separate entities: our non-profit organization The Laguna Niguel Military Support Foundation, described above and the Laguna Niguel Military Support Committee, which is a committee sanctioned and led by the City of Laguna Niguel. We both seek to serve the men and women of our armed forces and their families, and the Foundation strives to serve veterans in the City of Laguna Niguel that all face special challenges and needs. The Foundation is responsible for the financial support and assistance to past and present military members and specifically to the adopted units of the City of Laguna Niguel to help accomplish the Committee’s mission, however The Foundation is not associated with the City in any way. The Committee, as a city select organization, is the functional arm of the support for the three adopted units of the City of Laguna Niguel under the direction of the City staff and elected officials.
The Committee members work closely with command-appointed liaisons from these units to determine their needs and how best to meet them. With the financial leadership and support of the Foundation, the Committee conducts a variety of fundraising activities to secure the funding and donations from the community.
